About Svasti Art Foundation

What started as a passion soon became a full-fledged career with the establishment of Svasti Art Foundation.

A dance studio and workspace which Medha started in 2005 has now expanded to two branches – one in Whitefield and another in JP Nagar, Bangalore. With over 75 students from age 6, 50 years being the oldest, Svasti provides a holistic learning platform through dance.

As Svasti believes in inclusive training along with dance, students also learn Indian History, mythology, epics, social issues, environment concerns which is also adapted in their dance, students here explore their creativity, build on their ideas and work towards not just becoming a dancer but an artist who will make a difference in this world.

At Svasti, each disciple masters the art of dance not just through the conventional methodology but also by using other techniques like group activities, learning based on their demeanours of life, deliberations, self analysis and inquiry.

Every student is inspired to choreograph using the lessons they have trained and mastered, enabling them to grow as an independent artist and leverage them to not fit into any specific group.

Having worked closely with KFI (Jiddu Krishnamurthy foundation), Medha strongly believes in allowing the students to learn at their own pace and course by creating a non capricious, non competitive and non comparative space, thus making learning as innate as possible.

One of the primary goals at Svasti is to encourage adults to turn their dreams of becoming a dancer to reality. The institute emboldens and makes sure parents and teachers work in union towards the same goal. Svasti is a noble space where many women have now started their new journey of dance.

Students are given a prodigious opportunity to showcase their knowledge and understanding of dance through Savasti's annual day program.
