Little did Medha know that watching Yakshagana performances in her neighbourhood would bring her to what she is today. When her mother saw her sparkling little eyes with all the zeal watching Yakshagana shows, she knew what had to be done next and that is how Medha started her journey of dance at the age of 6.

Days passed and Medha performed her debut onstage performance - Arangetram, in 2002. Like any other student she went on to pursue her education. The talented and dauntless Medha took part in college cultural programs and became a known face in the campus. People in college recognised her for her dexterous dance performances and sooner or later “dance” became Medha’s identity. When people identified her through her dance it gave her immense gratification and this paved her path to pursue her higher studies in the field of performing arts.

With professional education that include masters in psychology and vidwath in Bharatanatyam, Medha’s congenital passion towards dance persuaded her with a PG Diploma in Choreography at Natya Institute of Kathak And Choreography [NIKC] under the guidance of Guru Dr. Maya Rao and an MFA in Bharatanatyam from Sastra University under Dr Padma Subramanyam.

Medha’s vigour as a dancer does not end with performances alone but also forays into production. She is known to experiment with the format of traditional Bharatanatyam by using different techniques to showcase theme based productions based on novel stories and Indian mythology.

Her newness in anything she does, be it her picturesque dance productions or importing her distinct ideas on her journey of parenting or following a chemical free lifestyle, have been described as 'path breaking' by many.
